Adoption Event to be Held March 20

Who:

Operation Kindness – North Texas’ largest and original no-kill shelter

What:

“We’re staying open late to end their wait” – Usually closed to the public Tuesdays, Operation Kindness will open its doors for a very special opportunity for experienced pet owners to meet a select group of adoptable cats and dogs. These are pets that have been at the shelter longer than usual due to a behavioral or medical issue.

Potential adopters will have plenty of one-on-one time with these prospective pets, including dog walks along the wooded trails and gardens at Operation Kindness, or play with the cats in the indoor/outdoor “catio.” Operation Kindness staff will be on hand to provide information about each pet and answer any questions.

Founded in 1976, Operation Kindness is the original and largest no-kill shelter in North Texas. Its mission is to care for homeless cats and dogs in a no-kill environment until each is adopted into responsible homes and to advocate humane values and behavior. In the 42 years since their inception, Operation Kindness has saved more than 100,000 animals. Annually the shelter assists more than 5,000 dogs and cats, caring for an average of 300 animals daily with another 100-150 animals in foster homes.
